SLRS was started in 1997 by Stephanie Green-Nichols, CI & CT, OK QA 5/5, who is the Executive Director and owner.

In the beginning, SLRS was Stephanie's private practice, but has grown to be the largest sign language interpreter referral agency in Oklahoma City.

SLRS is a proud organizational member of the national Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).

SLRS has awarded over $1,500 in scholarships to interpreting students at Oklahoma State University in OKC Interpreter Training Program, and Tulsa Community College, Interpreter Preparation Program.
